Friday Night Basketball Lights Up Liverpool for Young People
It’s 9:00 pm on a Friday evening, the vibrant sounds of basketball - the rhythmic dribbling, the energetic bounce of trainers, and the satisfying swish of nets - fill the air at the LJMU sports building in the heart of Liverpool. This is the exciting scene of the innovative Midnight League, a new late-night basketball initiative launched by Toxteth El8te CIC and funded by Merseyside Police.
The Midnight League runs every Friday from 9:00 to 10:45 pm, welcoming young enthusiasts aged between 12-16 and those 16 and over. Whether seasoned pros or newcomers to the game, participants have the chance to play up to two games per night, all under the watchful eye of qualified referees.
